About this business

J.R. Monroe, founder of South Haven, was granted a land patent from the U. S. government in1833 for 65 acres of land along Lake Michigan's shore. Soon after, he married Fanny Rawson at Schoolcraft, Michigan. The newlyweds traveled through the wilderness to South Haven by lumber wagon, where they planned to live in a log cabin that Monroe had previously built. South Haven is home.....love all the seasons here. I do wonder why the ordinance that requires that property owners remove snow from the sidewalks is not enforced. It is dangerous to walk in the streets.

City of South Haven, why are the public restrooms at Stanley Johnston Park LOCKED at 2:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday July 4th?! I had a toddler that urgently needed to empty her bowels.

$20 parking ticket for being a few quarters short is excessive. We just supported local businesses with a few hundred dollars. This will influence our decision on coming back.
