We went to a different radiation center where I met a woman in the lobby while waiting for the doctor. She told me she was taking her husband for a second opinion to see Dr. Williams for Proton vs photon radiation. I took down Dr. William's information and as soon as we left the first doctor I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Williams as we did not get a good feeling with the first doctor. I am incredibly grateful to have discovered the SF Proton Therapy Institute, conveniently located just 30 minutes from my home. Given that there are only 45 proton therapy centers across the United States, and only six in Florida, finding a facility that offers cutting-edge treatment like pencil beam therapy is truly a gem. Dr Williams and his team are amazing. Always very nice, professional.
The doctors here are very knowledgeable and every person who works here is so nice and helpful. The facility is pristine with ample, comfortable seating. They have a reasonably priced vending machine and an ice and water machine, along with a keurig. I drive 75 minutes each way to to receive treatment here and it's totally worth it.
