My experience here was extremely disappointing. I went in for joint pain and felt completely dismissed. I was told by a resident that my education level meant I likely had fibromyalgia and just needed more exercise. I was prescribed hydroxychloroquine, but after only three weeks (well before it could work), the doctor stopped it due to “lack of results.” Since then, I haven’t been able to get a call back to even schedule a follow-up. Worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Was referred due to possibly having an autoimmune disease because of joint pain and swelling. Along with many other concerning symptoms. Doctor didn’t do a single test, barely did a physical exam, and left the door to the room open the entire appointment. All he did was write me a website down on a piece of paper and tell me to go to my primary care doctor. Doctor didn’t rule out or confirm any possible diagnosis. If I could give it zero stars I would.
Please don’t see this provider. My consultation was the definition of medical gaslighting. I had gone from a healthy 37 year old to someone in pain 24/7. This doctor didn’t offer a single test, treatment, or follow up. He was incredibly condescending and said I was chronically sleep deprived (something I had not complained of) and my labs were elevated simply because I was overweight (I weigh 170).
