Founded By Mervin and Evelyn Vatland as Electronics Associates in 1966, they moved to 1828 W. Wisconsin Ave, the present location of Muntz Audio-Video and changed the store name to Sound World. The business grew to one of the largest stereo stores in the Northeast Wisconsin and in 1978 Sound World moved to their present location at 3015 W. Great Atmosphere; better attention – My wife and I just built our first house together; we’ve been shopping around on different ideas for our living room to house a flat screen TV. They Listen! Sound World is one of my favorite spots to get my electronics. I've gone in numerous times and spoke with Dave who really takes care of you...and actually LISTENS to what you have to say, rather than trying to sell you just anything. I always recommend this place to my friends and family...highly recommend checking this place out, even just to see the layout of the store, very interesting inside showcasing all kinds of different theater layouts and designs.
