Bridesmaid Dress – I have been bringing the clothes that need tailoring to Mary and Jean for the last 4 years. Their attention to detail is impeccable. I recently brought a bridesmaid's dress that needed major work to Mary and Jean and not only did they get this back to me when promised it also looked great! I high recommend using them on your next gown.

Excellent Tailors – I bring to Sorelle from my home in the Bronx anything that needs to be altered. They have done hems and sleeves on my coats. The quality of their work is excellent and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Very polite and lovely ladies, too. -- Linda

MY 'GO TO' TAILORS – Was looking for a tailor when I moved into the Penn Station/Macy’s area. I went to Sorelle as a stylist friend of mine recommended them to me. I unfortunately had gone to a local dry cleaner first, and it was a disaster. Do NOT use this tailor – The decent prices aren't worth it! Sorelle lost my $500 dress -- just lost it. The worst part is that they wouldn't admit it -- they insisted that I'd previously picked it up, while at the same time saying it was my fault for leaving my items over one month (for this I expect a fee, not losing it). And now, I've come home and inspected the pants which they hemmed and, miraculously, did not lose, only to find that one of them has discolored spots along the legs -- they are ruined, unwearable. Great Tailor – First went there to have my cuffs done. Simple project. Then I needed to have velcro sewn on my down coat the entire length of the zipper. They did a great job. Very professional. Then I needed the same coat sleeves lined with additional material so that my arms won't get cold. I hate the cold. They did a great job. Go to them with your complicated sewing projects. You will not be disappointed.

4 stars – Recently moved to the hell's kitchen area, and was looking for a new tailor, as I order a lot of suits online that I need to get altered. After a couple of busts at other shops, I went to Sorelle because of the positive reviews I saw on here. As the other reviews mention, it's run by two nice ladies that know their stuff. Regular client – I have been using Sorelle for years now. The ladies there are great at fixing garments and making everthing fit perfectly. They are friendly, resourseful and will listen to your suggestions. I recommend them fully.

the ONLY tailor in NYC that i will use... – i stumbled upon this tailor years ago through citysearch and have been frequenting them ever since. over the course of the years, they have hemmed numerous pants, kept the original hem on jeans and lowered the waist line on a skirt. basically anything i would need a good tailor to do... it's also walking distance from soiffer haskin...so after the hugo boss sale, they completely redid the suit jacket for the hubby. if i could have given a half star, the only downside would be that ... read more
