Ordered boots on Black Friday Nov 28. Package lost by carrier. Sorel is not willing to step up and make this right, they are hiding behind the pandemic as an excuse for their lack of customer service. Most incompetent e-commerce company I have attempted to order from to date! Back story, I ordered a pair of the Sorel Explorer boots in Khaki in a size 7.5 from their website. The order shipped quickly but I was very sad to find out they shipped me a size 10 in their Lexie Wedge. Their warehouse wasn’t even close in fulfilling this order-problem 1. Ordered boots more than two weeks ago. They spent the last week traveling between various post offices in the city - within a few miles of my house - but not to my house. Check the tracking this morning and they are now ON THEIR WAY TO A CITY 2 HOURS AWAY. So I spent 32 minutes on hold with/Sorel as “.the next caller in line” - only to be connected to a recording saying the agent was unavailable and then they hung up. Order a gift card. I initially was told it would take 1-3 Business days. After a week of waiting they informed me it will take an additional 10-12 days. I called to cancel the card since it was a present for my wife fro Christmas and she will not get it until after Christmas. The explained that there was nothing they could do. I would not order a gift card from this company unless you do not need it for a long time.
They recently had a pair of boots on their site for a very low price. I ordered them. Clearly this was a computer glitch. Instead of just acknowledging the mistake. They sent me and several others and e-mail saying they were out of stock. Which is incorrect. You can go on their sight and order them for a much higher price. I purchased the Men's Madson Waterproof Hiking Boots a little over a year ago. After 8 months of light use, the sole on the toe of the right boot separated. I returned the boots to Sorel according to their return policy and they determined the boot was not repairable. I received a merchandise e-credit for the boot but I am restricted to buying another Sorel product, which is why I rated them a "1". I got these for Christmas, wore them inside only to make sure the fit was right for 2 days, after which, the sole of the right boot toe came unglued. Luckily, I have a kind cobbler who offered to do it for free quickly instead of sending for their 2 month warranty process (which later I found can’t repair this minor damage). Sorel has some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. I’m always amazed by the quality of their products.
Total lack of customer care as far as providing information. Several of my orders were canceled without description other than payment criteria. I used PayPal. Their customer service specialists read back the emails I received and provided no additional information. No sense. Useless submitting a complaint to them about their website.
