I came in the other night with my husband and a few friends, and it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time as far as service. Our server, Tonya, was rude, dismissive, and made it clear she didn’t want to be bothered. She rushed us through the meal, barely checked in, and acted like we were inconveniencing her anytime we asked for something. The food was pretty good, I enjoyed my Steak and Lobster. Two steaks and two burgers, all excellent! Will definitely come back on our next SH visit!
On a busy Friday night when there were 45 min waits at the other downtown restaurants we went to Sophie's initially to have a drink but then a table opened up and we decided to stay for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised especially after reading one not-so-great review...our server Jennifer couldn't have been nicer or more attentive, and the food was really excellent. The staff were amazing and the food was terrific, I cannot recommend this place enough.
Running out of filets, potatoes, and carrot cake on a Saturday night at a steak house isn't a long term strategy for success. Food service and atmosphere were all good though!
