He kept reaching over the prep counter, touching different things, then going right back to handling the pita without changing his gloves. don’t usually complain about portion sizes, but this was ridiculous. I ordered what they called a “chicken shawarma plate.” When I opened the container, it looked like someone had accidentally forgotten to finish making it. The hummus was rotten. Not “different.” Not “extra lemon.” Rotten. The second I peeled the lid back there was a sour smell that made everyone at the table stop talking. It almost smelled fermented. I took it to the counter, and the cashier actually dipped a spoon into it, tasted it (!), made a face, and quietly threw it away.
