I found Dr. Wakil very caring and compassionate. She helped me during a very difficult time in my life. She helped me develop life skills to be well and be a better person. I would highly recommend her.

Dr Wakil and I had a very rocky beginning. I was untrusting after being bounced around between different doctors after being the victim of medical transphobia, and even though it took me several visits to warm up to her, I finally found a doctor that cared. She seemed very frigid at first but as soon as I had the courage to stand up for myself and my feelings when she had hurt them, she corrected her behaviors. Wakil would always tell me how proud of me she was for how far I had grown mentally and as a person.

Stay away from this unprofessional, condescending, and unethical doctor. She was late 1 hour to our online visit and she did not even apologize. Then in the middle of or visit when I was sharing vulnerable memories, she left for a few minutes and I could hear her yelling at somebody. The entire time she talked down to me like I was a child and she made strange facial expressions when I was talking. I was weary about my son seeing a psychiatrist at first. After visiting Dr. Wakil I have been so proud that I did take my son. Shes so good at immediately identifying what's going on and you really see she cares and has the best interest for my son. I couldn't be more pleased.
