PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. HE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING YOU MIGHT ASK. WITH NO LONG FANCY WORDS THAT YOU HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING WHAT THEY MEANT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Dr. Mathews is fantastic at what he does, but he can also be somewhat dismissive. Let me explain: I went in for issue “A.” He told me that it was rare, that it doesn’t happen often and that it could be something else. He scheduled me for a colonoscopy, and he confirmed that he didn’t see anything related to the problem I came in for. I had severe chest pain one night and went to the ER. Long story short, I was first sent to the cardio doc who cleared me and was then sent to Dr. Mathews for an Endoscopy. I have to say, Dr. Mathews was amazing. Very thorough, great bedside manner and very responsive. Will use him every time I need a GI doc. Thank you.
Dr Mathews, whom I prefer to call Doc, has been as much a part of my life as any close friend since June 2016 when fate brought me to him. Since that day, he has been the most respectful straight shooter I could ever ask for, helping me address and overcome the demons that brought me to him. In all honesty, our doctor/patient relation would not exist today without our on going battle and victories. Without him all of my conversations would be from the other side. Thanks Doc!
Most definitely would recommend dr mathews
I have been so impressed with Dr Mathews and his office in McKinney. We are still working to find the explanation of what is wrong but he has kindly and patiently given us our options while still giving his recommendation. And the office has been thorough and followed up with us. Highly recommend.
Dr. Mathews was thorough in helping me with my digestive issues. He is kind and caring. I was glad he explained procedures in a way that made me feel at ease.
I was treated like I was the most favorite patient of the day.
