Sono offers a contemporary sushi experience right in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Modern black and red interiors tinged with Japanese accents create a funky aesthetic that makes for the perfect night of sushi-fueled fun. Seasonal ingredients ensure that there is a constant change in the flavors in these innovative rolls. Other star dishes here include the Sono hot wings, assorted tempura, and yaki soba. And of course, no Japanese meal would be complete without some sake, of which there are several varieties at Sono. Go ahe... read more

Good sushi and the service is awesome. They have gluten free menu.
Great Sushi We go to Sono for just about any special occasion date night. They always have top-notch sushi and great service. They recently revamped their menu and got rid of one of my favorite rolls but they still have a great selection and I will keep coming back.
I absolutely am obsessed with this place. I love every single thing about it the atmosphere the service and the sushi. I go for lunch often they have lunch specials and dinner to. I bring everyone here for their birthday or any occasion I can come up with. We just took our nephew for his birthday and they treated him to any dessert on the menu and put a candle in it he was tickled pink. My favorite sushi spot
Good sushi, But – Sushi I have to say was good and tasty, actually lot better then their sister location Mura at North hill which I thought Sushi was just Ok. I wish service was as good as their sushi. Servers should be more attentive or management should have more servers when they are busy, like I needed another beer ten minutes a go? Food 4 stars, Service 2.5 stars and another 4 stars for decoration of restaurant.
Amazing Dinner – Absolutely delicious meal. This is my new favorite spot for sushi in Raleigh. No other sushi restaurant even comes close. I can't rave enough about it. Try the Omakase menu. You will not be disappointed. can't wait to go back!! Shumai and Gyoza are amazing!!!
great restaurant – loved absolutely everything...even the price!!
sleek and sexy sushi! – I've been to SONO several times and never had a bad experience. My first time was for the $25 four-course dinner that they have on Monday's. It is so good and such a great deal! A starter course (when I went it was a shrimp bisque with seared sea scallops), a special roll of your choice (usually runs $9 to $14 just for this portion), a third course (petite steak, 5 shrimp on a skewer, asparagus and wasabi mashed potatoes) and a dessert course. Each time I've visited I've had a very knowledgeable serve... read more
Nice place! – sushi was great! service was prompt and server gave great suggestions....enjoyed the lava and piano rolls!!!
One of the best sushi in Raleigh – # of Visits : several The Good : First of all, they have real wasabi. I'm not talking about the tube stuff, the real root! I've not seen any other sushi restaurant in this area use real wasabi root and grate it for you freshly. They also had two other variations of real wasabi, this is very impressive. Even when I was in L.A. there wasn't many restaurants that carried this many variations of wasabi. Their fish has always been very fresh everyone time I have dined here. I don't think I've ha... read more
