Got dinner to go asked for extra sweet sauce get home open the bag and not only is there not extra sauce there is zero sauce so now We are soposed to eat dry pork with no bbq sauce. I called back up there and the girl literally said “well we can’t deliver bbq sauce to your house so there’s nothing we can do.” How about customer service. If I’m already home in Cantonment I’m not driving back to 9th ave, my food would be cold. At least at Starbucks if they mess up they offer you a free $4 off next time for your inconvenience. ... read more
Went to Sonny's BBQ tonight on Tyrone Blvd. in St. Pete. They re-opened this week, after being closed for two months remodeling. Total makeover outside and inside too. Food is still great, and happy to see many of the same faces are still there in the wait staff that we've come to know these years. They now have a full liquor bar - all new seating, and salad bar moved to the other side. Really turned out nice. Continued success to them. 😋
SOOO glad they finally updated this location. What a contrast difference. Now the esthetic matches the friendly service and food! Only con I can come up with is the lighting, the LED’s are pretty bright, wouldn’t hurt to have them on dimmers. We had to twist the bulb at our table off, it was pretty blinding. They should be dimmer, more appealing and warming. Outside of the brightness levels, its so clean and modern now, still great service and food :) Wont be disappointed.
