As a former restaurant manager for many years this place hurt my brain. All the labor was in the wrong places. Bartender had a full bar and a bunch of tables and could not provide good service to anyone. The food was bland and very much equivalent to cafeteria food that I had in high school. The building itself was very nice and well appointed, but there is absolutely nothing authentic about this BBQ joint. The menu is microscopic and should have been quite simple to execute. Great service, great food. The ribs are delicious !
Service was good, food was terrible. Nobody in our party of five liked it. Overpriced too. Definitely will not go back
I love Sonny's having been a customer since a teenager in Gainesville in 1968. While this is one of the fancier Sonny's, the service was not very responsive, the food as delivered was cold, and dry (like it had been sitting for a while before being served). I suspect I would find a different Sonny's next time rather than come back to this location.
Love the place, Food is always good and serves are very nice, however, disappointed with there updated interior lighting package, they are very bright and we actually had the wait staff unscrew the light bulb in our booth. The bright lights have kept us from going back.
