Dr Virparia dismissed ultrasound results showing multiple masses on my liver and determined I needed to have my gallbladder removed, despite the fact that I had no gallstones, a very enlarged liver, and jaundice. Every time I raised concern about my liver she robotically repeated that I need my gallbladder out. I found a more competent Dr who immediately ordered further tests and scans and I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized to my liver. Treated my 19 year-old college son like a degenerate. Refused to provide him a refill on medication he has been taking for the past 6 years, did not offer alternatives, and does not respond to messages through the LiveWell portal in a timely manner.
I was scheduled with this doctor because my regular one didn’t have any appointments available for a week. The interaction was like dealing with a robot. No hello, asked questions, went through her checks, returned and told me what she’d ordered. No explanation, didn’t ask if I had questions and answered what I did ask with as short of a response as possible. Cold and disinterested. Lousy. Wish I would have seen these reviews before I made an appointment with her. She was rude, dismissive, and a waste of time.
Do not go to her if you are looking for a doctor that truly cares and listens. Not friendly at all. Just left her office for the first time and I was appalled at how rude she was. If you are dealing with health issues and want to be taking seriously and treated with care do not see her!!!
The worst experience we have had with a doctor. Treated my daughter with no respect or care. Placed her in a potentially health threatening situation.

Horrible!! I have seen her twice now. The first time back in 2017 when I had a large swollen lymph node in my neck. I went to go see her the day I found the lump. She told me I was probably getting sick and to see her in 30 days. I did not like her response to the lump in my neck so I made another appointment with my regular doctor five days later and thank God I did because the lump ended up being cancer. Dr. Virparia was such a delight to visit with today. She accepted me as a new patient and took the time to get my complete history and listen to my concerns. She was very knowledgable, sincere, and encouraging. Through my interaction with her and what she has recommended for my further treatment, I feel very confident and hopeful for my future. I would recommend Dr. Sonia to anyone looking to get started with a family doctor.
