Bugs in Bed – Terrible Experience I stayed at Sonesta Select Laguna Hills on July 5, 2025. Around 1 AM, I woke up to bugs crawling all over the bed. I was shocked and disgusted. I took photos and videos and told the front desk right away. They moved me to a different room and asked me to fill out a form. I waited over a week and finally heard back. My main issue was the middle eastern lady at the front desk the one with short hair and glasses, she always so rude! I stayed for 4 days and she always has this face that she hates her job or something, she definitely needs more training on how to treat guests!!! Besides that the carpet its so dirty!!! Girl at the front desk was nice. This place is dirty and disgusting. And the sickly sweet smell they have to cover up the nastiness is even worse. Run.
While the hotel staff were friendly and tried to handle everyone, this location is not properly staffed to handle a large number of people staying at one time. Dogs are certainly welcome and maybe encouraged. I was assured they would only be housed on the first floor but I found several dogs on the 4th and 5th floors over several days. The accompanying odors were noticeable and as a result, the overall hotel felt unclean.
This is a party hotel. The hall carpets are filthy because they allow crowds of people to hang out in the halls and party. We had an early flight the next day and couldn’t sleep because there was a party going on in the room nextdoor, sounded like there were 50 people yelling, jumping off beds, breaking things etc..We called the front desk and the girl laughed and said she would call them.
