Great place to stay and get the full Gaslamp experience. Nice little studio apartment style room just above a cool little night spot. Looking forward to coming back.
Can't beat the location. Stayed for a week in SD and didn't need a car, walking distance to countless great restaurants and bars and shops. Short Lyft ride to and from the airport and Balboa Park. Very short walk to the conference center and Petco Park. The street does get loud at night especially weekends but our room and double paned windows on the 3rd floor blocked out virtually all sound especially with the central AC running, no problem sleeping at all. clean, spacious, great location
This hotel should not be on the top of your list. It is clean, inexpensive, and in a popular/walkable area. But it is so noisy (a loud rooftop bar is across the street the blasts music until midnight, the hotel is very dated and depressing, and very very basic. I would not stay here again
