I was in Detroit for a show at the Little Caesars arena downtown. Let me advise you. The airport is 21 miles from downtown, so if you’re not renting a car, you’ll want to take the DAX. It’s $6 a ride. The only stops are the two airport terminals and downtown—right across the street from Sonder. Very convenient! The Q Line is free. Beautiful and modern room with an excellent view. Location is great with lots to do in the area.
This place this was nice but it was very misleading. The app stated there was a luggage storage place for free however once I arrived that was not the case…the person at the front desk stated that I could just leave my luggage behind the front desk. There was no secure place to leave my luggage. The front desk person stated to not worry about my luggage as there was security cameras at all times but there wasn’t always a person at the front desk at all times. Great location right downtown. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. Good price. The room was nice, had a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The only complaint I would have was that the hallway and the room was kinda dirty. I found hair in the bed and popcorn kernels on the floor. Also one of the elevators was broken so it was quite a long wait for the working one at times. We parked across the street at a guarded lot it was $35 a night.
If you care about cleanliness, don’t come here, otherwise it’s fine. When we first got to the hotel we checked in and the room wasn’t even ready, none of the sheets were on the bed and the room was pretty dirty from the last guests. Luckily the front desk had set us up with a newer and upgraded room (thank you) The next room appeared to be clean and look nice but actually was not clean.
