Love this place! This is my favorite restaurant to visit when I'm back home in Asheboro! The owner is so friendly and makes you want to eat there just to see him! I love their Greek and Turkish offerings, but they have typical southern fair as well. This is a place I feel comfortable bringing my young children.
Something Different Steaks is a dissapointment When I went here to dine, I expected what everyone had bragged about, an extrememly nice dining experience. It was a disaster, the owner's wife ended up in a fight with a young girl who was evidently a girlfriend to her son. She punched the young girl in the left side of her face and they both cussed and screamed at each other. The owner instead of fixing things made it worse but cussing the young girl as well. Something Different - A Nice Upscale for Asheboro The main reason why I wanted to try Something Different was because it advertised vegetarian choices on their menu. I found the restaurant to be a little confusing, to be quite honest. The chef, who was in the front of the house being very delightful and welcoming, greeted everyone who came through its doors...which was very intimate and nice for a change.
