My nurses were great, when they actually checked in on me. There was only me and one other patient in the ER when I went. I was there 5 hours due to falling down the stairs and injuring my knees and foot. They never addressed my knees, despite our best efforts to clean the debris out, I ended up with infected knees. Told the doctor I was allergic to a specific med, he not only gave it to me anyhow, but also prescribed it for me. Drive to Latrobe or Greensburg for care in the future. Highly disappointed with UPMC Somerset ER.
Recommendedhad a kidney stone crushed there and staff was amazing and very helpful. very patient and understanding. had no issues at all. wont trust conemaugh for a paper cut so I thank the staff of Somerset hospital for giving me 2 good experiences.
