Facility was great, private rooms where you don't have to put up with a dozen people on the other side of the curtain all speaking at maximum volume was great. Nursing was hit and miss. Some were great, especially the men. The older women were great, but the younger were more enamoured of their cell phones. Definitely a lot better than a regular hospital. The food still sucks but when have you ever had a decent hospital meal? They have to have special training to ruin food like they do.

I do not recommend that you send anyone to Solare in Harlingen. My father was there to recover from back surgery and began to have severe pains and all they would do was give him pain meds after pain med and they actually OD him 3 times. There were one or two items that came up missing from his room. I don't recommend this place to anyone!

It is really hard to find the right words to accurately describe my experience with Solara. I have been to other hospitals in Brownsville to my long term treatment but it was Solara where I decided to stay. I am glad I did. The best part of my stay at Solara was the quality of patient service they have. Most people are so warm and welcoming that you almost hate to leave!
