Does not have the charm or passion it once had. Service was robotic. Food was over cooked and pricey. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.
I recently visited Sofra and i would like to share my experience with Lamb the fat cap must be rendered down beautifully. If left unrendered, the texture becomes chewy rather than melt-in-your-mouth. I will definitely visit this place again.
Sofra offers very finely crafted in house Turkish cuisine accompanied by professional warm friendly service. They provide large portions of their 100% handmade food (no canned Dolmas here) The atmosphere is softly lit and comfortable and the tables are spaced well for privacy and table conversations. I highly recommend Sofra for a group or a quaint dinner for two with easy $5 evening parking in the many lots behind and beside the restaurant, it is easy to get in and out of for a downtown Edmonton Restaurant.
Really enjoyed my experience at Sofra Restaurant! The food was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great place for a nice meal. I would definitely recommend Sofra and will be back again!

The service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was beautiful. Everything was cooked perfectly and presented very nicely. Definitely one of the best Turkish restaurants in Edmonton. We will definitely be coming back!
