I wasn’t sure who to talk to about this problem of mine. I didn’t think it was a problem, until one day, I realized I had no alcohol at home, and I got really angry about it because the day didn’t feel right without it. I guess I’m glad that I put two and two together before I ended up doing anything stupid, and decided to come to SoCo Counseling to talk about it. They made me feel safe and let me know about AA and other things I could do.

We’ve hit a rough patch as a family recently so we made the decision to go to SoCo Counseling. We immediately felt comfortable with the staff and our counselor who listened well and offered wonderful suggestions. We’re stronger now than we ever have been and I thank them for helping my family.

This past year and a half I’ve been getting sick almost every month, it was really affecting my mood and bringing me down. One day I randomly read online that stress could be a factor to my illnesses because for the most part I eat right and exercise and take care of myself. I decided to give it a try and it’s been two months and I haven’t gotten sick. It’s so amazing but also a scary thought that stress can affect your body so much.

Making an appointment to see a counselor at SoCo Counseling was nerve-wracking but I’m glad I did it. The counselors were friendly to me at a time when I needed it the most. I’ve noticed an increase in my moods after every session.
