Visited this local bike shop for repairs on my Electra Townie and I was super impressed by the customer service provided by Jason, the owner. As a casual (i.e., fair-weather and inexperienced) rider, it can be intimidating to visit bike shops full of fancy gear, but this one put me at ease. Will definitely be back.

Ordered a replacement rim for my MTB at an honest price and transferred cassette and brake to new rim. Went for a 8 mile ride, I knew bike was not right. My lack of knowledge in regards to my drivetrain, dropped by Society and Jason took a quick look and got me going again! Chain was not correct on the guide! Doh, it’s the little things! Thanks Society Cycle Works! I live in the Med Center, will definitely return!
Just want to update my review. These guys ROCK! Awesome selection! Expert advice! Some of the best mechanics in Houston! And a great place to just hang out, talk bikes and toss back a brew (coffee or beer!). Love these guys!
