Our experience at SOBO Kitchen & Bar was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. We arrived at 12:30 p.m. and didn’t even receive water or drink service until well after 1:00 p.m. Once we were finally able to place our order, the first entrée didn’t arrive until around 1:30 p.m., and the other two entrées were delivered to the wrong table. There were only 3 groups in when we were waiting food and it took 45 minutes to get our food and they still gave us the wrong thing. The food was very ok, the chocolate cake was good.
I told the waitress I would write a review, think her name was Lauren, she was great, it was not the busiest night, maybe a Monday in May, Anyway Took the Family, we were well cared for food was wonderful, honestly cant recall specifics but the experience was memorable and i have been meaning to write this review for some time. Had a reservation for 10:30 am which we booked on resy via the restaurant website. We arrive, the door says theyre open from 10am on sunday. Its locked and then they tell us they dont open till 11 am. They then suggest we just sit in their restaurant for 30 minutes and wait till the kitchen opens. Why do you allow reservations at 10 am if your restaurant doesnt open till 11???
Staff were kind but service was slower than expected given how empty the place was. Fun menu with interesting global options. No French fries though, just potato chips or wedges. Sadly they were all out of shortrib which looked like the best thing on the menu. Willing to accommodate dietary restrictions which was nice. Food was good enough but nothing to write home about.
