horrible service, good cheeseburgers. – We visited snuffy's with my mother and two daughters. We were greeted by a grouchy host that took the "wait to be seated sign" and asked my mother to move so he could put it in front of her. My mother and I giggled, and my mom said "oh, I must have been in the way"...mind you we were the only people in the waiting area. He told us to walk down and seat ourselves, okay...that's fine. Best Malts This is one of the restaurants I have missed dearly since moving. They were conveniently just down the road and could always be counted on for a tasty dinner or treat. The have a fun jute box and amazing malts. You even get the metal cup they are made in. Like all malt shops there food is a little greasy, but it would be bad if it wasn't. When we visit friends in the area this is one of the places we will be returning to.
Like Stepping back in time Snuffy's has a great 1950's malt shop feel. It seems that every time I go there are fun local High School students working there and the shop does a lot to support youth programs in the community. The food is what you'd expect from a malt shop, tasty but greasy. But the malts are what you go in for they are delicious.
Home Town Malt Shop My family moved away from Minnetonka 2 years ago and we still talk about how much we miss Snuffy's Malt Shop. It's nostalgic decor and corner-diner fare make it a great place to plug in a few quarters to the jukebox and sip one of the many choices of over abundant malts. If you want some great grill food, this it also place to bring friends. Healthy it is not, but great food is what it has! I wish I was there right now!
excellent i came here during the week around 2pm, so it wasn't busy. The dining is a little inexpensive, but the service and the malts were great. this is a great place to bring the kids
Great ice cream, Good-to-okay food, Weird service After Snuffy's was voted one of the best burger joints in the Twin Cities by the Twin Cities' annual restaurant magazine, I had to try it. I wasn't that impressed with the burgers, to be honest, especially not after having read about their being (almost) the best in the entire Twin Cities region. They WERE good. With its red-padded booths and scuffed swivel stools, it has quite a bit of old-school charm. – In Short At this St. Paul location, a 1/3-pound Snuffy Burger with a hunk of iceberg lettuce and tomato, crisp bacon and melted Swiss cheese is as heavenly for kids oblivious to fat grams as it is for parents who know better but indulge anyway. The food--burgers, fries and malts--is vintage nostalgia. A half-order of french fries arrives hot and not overly greasy. Never leave without ordering an extra-thick, real ice-cream malt.
