One of the best Tiki Bars in America! Delicious libations and classic decor!
So perfect! My husband and I stopped in for our first time tonight. Everyone was so welcoming. The doormen were really nice to talk to, and we were super impressed with the bartender/owner. We will be back, for sure!
This place would get 5 Stars however there are a few things that really just make it not deserving of it. The number one thing is that there is no music, nothing zero zilch, nada which is probably because it is in a residential location but no music for a bar at least for me is not good. Some ambient music or pirate themed music on low volume would do miracles. We had a blast at Smugglers Cove! We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday evening and got in within 15 minutes. The drinks were delish (The Sidewinder Fang brought back great memories of the Lanai in SM) and the bar has a fun "tiki/island" vibe going on. It's super packed, but, the service was fabulous and very friendly. BTW, a guy behind me ordered vodka based drink and the bartender couldn't have been nicer when informing him it was a "rum bar". The owner of this place is a marketing genius.
The basement bar tender is excellent! He is entertaining, creative & knowledgable of the rums! This will surely become a regular stop for me!
