Sliced brisket and Mac n cheese... Oh my goodness!
You know, people throw around the term "literally " a lot when they really mean figuratively but want to convey a sense of scale. Like my tongue is literally on fire. This, however is not one of those times. This brisket... literally... melts in your mouth. Literally. You put the fork full in your mouth, if you can successfully put it on the fork in the first place. Then you touch it to your tongue, and suddenly you have an empty fork. You don't even need to swallow. It just becomes one with your body.
Portion control is possible with their kids menu!!!
I've been waiting to go here for years. I am from out of town but my company is in the North Loop so I am in Chicago frequently. Smoque was always too far to justify for a business reason. Now, I wish I had not waited. the food was incredible. i had St. Louis ribs, brisket, fries, mac and cheese, gumbo and corn bread, with their Memphis sauce. All of it was amazing. Can't wait to go again!
Outstanding BBQ! Only problem is the long wait.
wonderful food, will definitely return for more ribs, also i need to try the brisket which i'm sure is as good as the ribs :-). if you come to visit the place don't forget to byob or any other adult beverage.
My favorite item on the menu is the brisket.
Great ribs. Nice personnel. Can bring own beer.
