I had heavy pieces I couldn't do that to friends & family. So I hired Smooth Move. They sent two guys and the truck. They were very nice, very polite. They thanked me several times for the business. Although, I agree with Judys books not as athletic as you would think, I had some extemely heavy pieces(which I let them know ahead) and they struggled with them. They were very careful which I appreciate but a little overboard at times.

A very good experience. My family needed to move from the Mcminnville are to Portland due to a job change, and we had little time. We realized that we need some help, and Smooth Move was recommended by someone. I called them on very short notice, they said no problem. The owner Greg sent two of his best guys, Micheal and Joe, and they got it done.

After moving into a walk up apartment on the third floor, I vowed never to move on my own again. Smooth Move was scheduled to be at the apartment between 3-4pm, called at 3pm to let me know they were an hour away and showed up at precisely 4pm. I stood back and pointed to what had to be moved and the guys moved quickly and efficiently, moving a king size bed and heavy sofabed with the greatest of ease down the 3 flights of stairs (and of course without my blood, sweat and tears!). Corrupt and Unethical – This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. the owner does not take responsibility for his or his employees actions. His employees stole 1600 worth of items from me and 1000 of it was all my kids xbox games. They know what they had they play them everyday. My mom and dad helped me move and they packed the box that the games were in. We went a total of about 5 miles dowm the road. I contacted him right away regarding the missing items and he basicly called me a lier and did nothing to resolve... read more

Nightmare Comes True! – Upon first sight these 2 guys looked scary. By the end of the loading I was impressed by the total LACK of respect and consideration for our belongings on the part of one loader in particular. For example, loading the metal edge of an appliance dolly atop a metal file cabinet with NO padding between, throwing boxes marked "FRAGILE", not protecting furniture with blankets, etc. The resulting damages to furniture were numerous. WILL USE AGAIN and AGAIN! – I was referred to Smooth Move People by 3 different friends of mine who have used them repeatedly for both home and company moves. The owner is friendly and it definitely has that 'family owned business' appeal. The movers were very friendly, fast, careful and dedicated. After many calls to other companies - Smooth Move was also the most affordable in town!
