I recently had the pleasure of trying the plate-based foods at Smoky Mmm Eats, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. Don't waste you're time, the food is not worth the price. Especially with too good to go. I understand the idea is that it's only food going to waste but we still pay money for it. If there isn't much extra food, you guys should cancel the order so we don't have to spend money and time to get it. Or lower the price. I'd be better going to the Mom's next door and getting some vegan meat for less money, better taste and bigger portion.
ordered with too good to go, an app to reduce food waste. cheap cheap cheap. i was served an approximately 4 inch "andouille sausage" on a hot dog roll with a half bite of cole slaw and dollop of mustard on the side. the very nice server specifically stated that this is a promotion for their new item...seems contrary to the purpose of saving waste. again, a marketing ploy. admittedly the andouille was smokey and somewhat tasty, but the excess fat was dripping from the container in which it was served.
I love her sausages and potato salad. The potato salad is so creamy.
We went to Smoky Mmmeats pop-up at Right and Proper Brewery. Not only was the brewery wonderful, but the food was incredible. I've been a vegetarian most of my life and have never found a meat substitute as good as their plant based meat. I can't wait until I can buy it in grocery stores!
