It’s worth it and might want to call ahead before showing up. They close at 9 but might go ahead and put the food up before then and not have anything out to serve you unless you come more than 10 mins before they close! Smh
I was disappointed with the food. My husband and I had ribs they were over cooked and had a hard,dark bark on the outside of them. The ribs were fatty and not able to eat for the most part. We also noticed that the sides was smaller. Our table was dirty we won't be back for quite sometime. Hopefully they can address these problems an correct them.
Eh...it used to be better. The food and environment has gone down hill. The mac n cheese and corn bread are amazing but I ordered plain brisket this time, no sandwich bun, no sauce...I got my meal with a bun and sauce in top. Super tiny sides that come in a dip cup, not a bowl. The brisket was dry and really fatty with pieces that were hard like they had been sitting out for awhile. Not going back for awhile. Hopefully they change in the meantime.
Smokin Jack's was never amazing, but it used to be a solid and cheap go to on the west side. They have significantly raised their prices and the quality has gone down significantly. I got an order to go, got home, my sandwich had no fixings and the collard greens were basically inedible, all for $3 more than I used to pay. The service wasn't good either. a girl came to the register three times before acknowledging me, when the service used to always be prompt and friendly. June 2018.
I was very disappointed I ordered 1 pound of brisket to go and paid $16.04. There was only 1/2 pound with the container so I called and they said come back we will give you the rest I go back and they only give me 1/4 pound more. Food was good but please be honest with your portion sizes and what your charging for.
Arrived, saw they had a great deal on the hook’d app, placed my order minding my own business, once I get my food, I am told that I am not allowed to come back to the restaurant, because someone there at the restaurant has a problem with me. I have a ton of family, and friends who frequent your restaurant, and they WILL not be back. Absolutely ridiculous to be treated with that much disrespect, especially in a ‘professional’ environment. (Also would like to note I don’t know ANYONE who works at smokin’ jacks)
