This place has gotten some low reviews for whatever reasons but I will tell you that I was a pretty big mess before receiving treatment from the Staff and Medical Professionals at this hospital. I originally had gone to Cascade Valley Hospital after returning home from a 1300 mile excape from life. During that time I was away from home I took no diabetes medications. I had hallucinations, body function breakdown and overall dispare. Once the hospital managed to get me somewhat stable I volentarrily had myself admitted to Smo... read more

While I was at this hospital I was forced to live in a room that stuck of feces because a patient had spread them across the walls a few days before and the hospital didn’t bother to clean the room properly. Also male patients were constantly sexually harassing some of the female patients. This was well known to both staff (I reported it multiple times) and the other patients and no action was taken. It was also a frequent occurrence for patients to become extremely angry and sometimes violent towards staff and other patient... read more

Pros and Cons are as follows: Pros • I was fed at least once a day • i had my own room • There was 1 Hispanic male staff member who treated me nicely, as a human being. Now the cons... • I was manhandled and tossed around when I begged for help bathing. (The staff were all male by the way). • Dr. Ahmed was extremely poor at hiding his disgust for having to do his job. When I asked him for help he'd claim to know my nearest and dearest family members and peer pressure me into swallowing handfuls of pills at once without telli... read more

Staff is very caring even though they have to deal with a lot of patients with very different needs. If I ever have a mental break down again I would be glad to use this hospital and I would recommend it to others who are struggling. They really try to work with you whether it's financial or personal issues. I am trans and they allowed me to have my own room inpatient, but other than that it was never brought up and I was treated with respect throughout the whole process. Thank you Bethany, Melissa, Lourdes and all th staff ... read more
