Food was good. However the guy at the counter took a few minutes to even act like we were standing at the counter. We paid in US currency and he told me they don't convert. I paid with an US 20 and I sat down to watch him take my US 20 and change it out for 20 Canadian dollars. Shady, shady
I was an excited Yank ready to try poutine. IF this is a representation of what it is I am truly let down. Walking in the place was not clean, pretty much all the tables were dirty and there wasn’t another person in the place so it’s not like they were busy. The food came out immediately and the fries were cold like they have been sitting a while. The gravy was hot and had literally no flavor and bland. It was a goopy mess that tasted horrible. The chicken shawarma poutine was delicious, and so was the chili. Plenty of fries and sauce. We enjoyed it for our first time trying poutine.
Classic poutine, 4 drinks, a hot dog, a chicken sandwich that was honestly the worst thing ever and a cheese steak that was on a hot dog bun (not exaggerating) $100. The heavy set guy running the counter was the least friendly Canadian ever. The poutine was good actually is the bad part but it’s over priced and everything else is garbage.
