I stopped by around 3 pm on Saturday and ordered The Stoker - Texas turkey, pimento cheese, and pickles, the side I selected was the amazing Queso Mac & Cheese! My drink was a bottle of sweet tea. I loved the TN white bbq sauce with the perfectly smoked turkey, it was delicious! I sat at a picnic table and thoroughly enjoyed it and I will be back and highly recommend it! Visiting Knox from Waco and decided to give East Tennessee bbq a try. Being a Texan I’m always skeptical when I’m out of the state. I tell you, this is the best bbq I’ve had outside Texas and it even whips some well-known Texas joints. The brisket was moist with great bark, fat rendered well. Turkey was killer, dry rub ribs were excellent. The moon pie banana pudding was unreal. Try out smoked pickle you won’t regret it!
I wanted this to be better than it was but nothing wowed me. The food looks fantastic. We got an Instagram worthy bbq tray. The meats were fresh but lacked smoke flavor and juiciness. It just fell a little flat compared to what everyone’s told me. The brisket was good not great. The pork was forgettable. The smoked sausage was very good- easily the best meat we ordered.
