caring & knowledgeable Both of the Drs. Smithton have served my family's needs...pediatrics and obstetrics. The pediatric care my newborn premature daughter received was first-class, and I'm picky. Prior to my last pregnancy, I had a traumatic miscarriage and Dr. Smithton was quick to diagnose the problem and very caring during the harrowing process. Additionally, his office staff efficiently took care of some irritating insurance issues that I just couldn't deal with during the crisis.
Ambivalent review Dr is a little lazy. Seems to have the textbook memorized and doesn't really spend time looking at my child during annual checkups. Never checked vision or hearing in 4 years. More likely to chat about milestones then do a physical exam. Relies heavily on nurses for checkups. Not good in an emergency. Sometimes nurses respond to telephone inquiries with diagnoses and makes it seem like they talked to the doctor when they did not. Seems to take personal time over doctoring. Customer Service not the greatest I have had problems on more than one occasion with the people who work the front desk. Examples: unreturns phone calls, unecessary sarcasms...some of these ladies need a lesson in how to treat customers. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? No real problems with the doctors though, I've been fairly satisified with their level of service.
Very poor customer service Went to see Dr. Atkinson and view his office as a prosective patient with hopes of maybe meeting the Dr.
Kim Dr. Atkinson is a great physician. I have always been very happy with his service. He listens to my concerns and initiates conversation by asking the proper questions.
Not a Doctor to go To! Dr. Atkinson needs to get a bit more experience in basic medicine before he practices healthcare unsupervised. My experiences with him were downright scary. He simply did not listen, and did not return phone calls. Maybe it was a computer issue as his office is paperless, but I had less than satisfactory results with this Dr.
Great Doctors and Nurses Stillwater Family Care has great Doctors! The staff are very personable and helpfull. The building is somewhat new and is clean and inviting. I highly recomend checking them out!
