Surprise, surprise: the flagship museum of American history is pretty cool. Also, free entry. Granted if you pay taxes you still pay for it. But for international tourists: this may be the only actually free thing you ever get to see!
There are some great exhibits. My favorite was the flag that inspired the writing of the star spangled banner.
Just okay, nothing to write home about.
