I can't believe the living history surrounding this place is now - History.
Thank you so much for all the great pizza, service and friends over the years. I've been coming to Smitty's ever since I was 2 or 3 years old. Some of my earliest memories are from coming here to eat. When I was very young, I loved the coloring pages and crayons. I loved all your burgers and the trains that circled around the bar. I think that Smittys is one of those places that will live on in the hearts of the people that love it. It is a shame to lose such a centerpiece of a community.

Many great memories at Smittys. Growing up I always looked forward to my parents taking my sister and I to see the train go around . It was a big thrill for us. Every Friday night was our familys pizza night . A tradition we held on to all my years living in Voorheesville. I haven't been in Smittys for a few years since moving out of the area , but it's a memory I will never foget.
I worked at Smittys for a while. The place was always "home." Frank and Gert, we're great to work for. I'm glad that I made it home in September 2016 for the best pizza ever. Best of luck to Jon and John.
