Product reviews are normally done as soon as the work is completed. I was pleased with the work when completed. In 2025, I went up into the attic and found evidence of mold on the plywood that had been installed with the new roof. There is no evidence of mold on the plywood that didn’t need to be replaced. I was disappointed that George Smith did not remediate the situation when advised.
Smith Roofing, George and his crew, did a fantastic job replacing our roof! Communication with George Smith was fantastic, easy to work with, and honest. His employees are extremely hard working, courteous and respectful. I highly recommend Smith Roofing Co if you need a new roof or any roof repairs.

Highly recommended. Smith Roofing has put 2 roofs on my house since 2008 and the 2nd time was the fault of Mother Nature, NOT the lack of craftsmanship. If anyone remembers that hail storm we had in the DC area in early May 2016. It was a doozy! And while I didn't think it had any damage my insurance company said it needed to be replaced. Smith Roofing Co did a fantastic job replacing our old roof! Communication with owner George Smith was wonderful and he was very easy to work with. He answered phone calls and called back promptly after I left messages. He was very helpful in the process of choosing type and color of shingles. I was impressed with the high quality materials he uses. His employees are very hard working, courteous and respectful. I highly recommend Smith Roofing Co if you need a new roof or any roof repairs.
