I went to see Smita Bhandari MD 5 years ago. She prescribed me ambien and told me to take it daily. My next appointment I brought up how online it says not to take it for more than 2 weeks straight and how it was highly addictive and she told me not to worry cause she had patients who took it all their lives and were ok. Thank god I didn’t listen and only took it for occasional insomnia. Every doctor I went to after said that’s horrible advice. I have been seeing Dr. Bhandari for 3 years now. From the first session, Dr. Bhandari really listened to me and my concerns about symptom relief and side effects. She is pleasant to be around and understanding that we are all on our own path. Her office is extremely welcoming and even her voice particularly soothing.
