This was very upsetting when it happened when the Barbie Movie the day it came out I had an appointment with Dr. Brandt's replacement doctor who is a woman. I checked in on time and got my patient band around my wrist. I waited for my name to be called for blood work. They have a stated policy that it can only be fifteen minutes for your name to be called and mine was. They weighed me and drew blood. They have their own on site lab. I am in disbelief. 2010 I was diagnosed with an aggressiveform of Cancer. 3 Surgeries later,lost 1/2 my breast. I then went to Smilow for treatment. Where I met Dr Brandt (she's awesome!). Saw Dr Brandt from 2010/11-2017. She discharged me with the order "see as needed", therefore, I'm still a patient. Apparently not. Because Yale hasn't taken over Waterbury Hospital (where I was getting my mammogram/sonogram), Waterbury booted me. I called Smilow in Torrington, and it's not the same since Dr Brandt left. I think that my doctor Dr. Ashita Talsania is an excellent doctor. She is very sweet, pleasant, and caring. The nurse, I can't remember her name, is super nice. And the receptionists are all very nice and friendly. I highly recommend Smilow Cancer Center of Torrington.
