We get our pumpkins at Smiling Hill Farm every year. The cross country skiing in the winter is a great time. Lunch is tasty too. A wonderful farm that has been a part of southern maine for generations.

Visiting the delicious ice cream barn and farm is a must do with my family for years. Each and every time we go, there are new animals and critters to enjoy in a extremely cleanly environment. They are a great places to get up-close and personal with a wide variety of animals in ever changing habitats to accommodate them. I just saw a video of how you treat the calves at your farm. Chaining his head to the ground so he couldn't move!!! Your buisness is an absolute disgrace. Making money off helpless animals and abusing them at the same time!

Animal abusers

Business response:

We became aware of a video posted online that claims we “chain calves to the floor.” I believe that is the reason for your comment? Please understand that we do NOT do this and we are unsure why this person(s) would make this claim or why our small local farm has been targeted. If you have not visited our farm, we hope that you will have an opportunity to do so in the future. You will be able to independently assess our farm and our care of our livestock first-hand to form your own opinion. There is no charge to visit, altho... read more

Its awful the way you chained the baby calf to teach it to stay in a stall. You are some of the most detached insensitive ppl on earth. I hope you come back as an animal.
