My mother was admitted to a long-term care facility, and within the first weeks, a dental hygienist from Smiles at Home conducted a dental exam on her—without consulting me first, even though I am her primary contact/caregiver. I promptly received the bill and "assessment," citing that because I had provided consent for medical treatments, this authorized her to proceed without asking.
