Small yet Big! I was in Smalls Furniture City yesterday looking for mattresses. When I first walked into the door, a sales woman walked up to me and asked to help me. She took us to look at the mattresses and quoted us a price. She was very helpful and pleasant.

J I too had the same experience. I ordered a chair and was told it would take at least 10 weeks. After waiting 10 weeks, I called the store only to find out that my order had not been processed. I was told that I would have to wait more than 10 weeks because the manufacturer would not process orders over the holidays. I was also told that it was not cost effective to process orders for only one chair so I would have to wait until they filled a quota of sales. I am still waiting for my chair. Mr Small's blew it big time. I ordered a Lazyboy reclining sofa on 8-3-10. I was told it would take 60 days to get it in. After 11 weeks I called to get an update on my order. I was told that Lazyboy never received my order.( I had already given away my old furniture) My options were to have the sofa re-ordered, which would imply that it had been ordered in the first place, or take a refund on my deposit. I took my refund and my business elsewhere. I guess an order inexcess of $2,000 doesn't matter enough to them to keep tab... read more

Not a great plave Furniture City has a poor selection of merchandise and an even poorer sales staff. The people we have encountered were not interested in showing us anything, just let us walk around and leave without a word. The prices are high for what they have. There are a couple of other furniture stores in Dekalb and several more yet that aren't far away, but this store is not comparable to any of them.

Small's Failed Small's FAILED...I purchased a room of furniture, the furniture came late & no one called to let me know when it finally arrived the promised 4 to 6 week delivery was at 13 weeks. I had to go to the store because there was a large flaw in the wood finish...it would be replaced and I was offered to use the flawed one until the reorder arrived. I agreed and then set-up the delivery and surprise the delivery from the store to my house was late...I canceled my order without delivery...Big disappointment.

Smalls is the place to be! Smalls is a Wonderful place to do business! The staff goes out of their way to help you. The employees have stayed and have worked there for many years, thus they know their customers! I would strongly recommend this store to everyone. They really know their stuff!

Small's is Great! We purchased a new large screen HDTV and realized there is no way it'll fit into our outdated wall unit. We spent an entire day combing Rockford for the perfect piece of furniture for our new TV. After a thourough search stores Rockford had to offer, we gave up and came home. We decided to give DeKalb a chance and our final stop was Small's Furniture City. As soon as we looked at their selection I found exactly what I wanted. It was perfect for our home and our new HDTV.
