Small door is a chain of clinics owned by private equity, which becomes obvious the moment you step through the door. I tried out this clinic after recently moving and wanting to spare my cats the long trip across town to our old clinic, which I regretted instantly. UPDATE 9/3/26: This clinic never picks up the phone. The staff is friendly but it’s impossible to get someone to pick up and answer basic questions. You’re told to use the app but they also have to check in with the vet to give you a response so it’s a huge runaround. ———— Edit/ update: I was told she was due for a teeth cleaning which requires anesthesia (understandable). I got a quote for $1,400 plus a bunch of other fees — pre-surgical visit, bloodwork, pre and post op medicines, etc. — that were NOT included in the estim... read more

I’ve really appreciated interacting with Dr. McLaughlin who is kind and gives clear and honest assessments including what treatment would be necessary/strongly recommended and what may be optional. All of the staff are very friendly.
