Specialties Our goal is to awaken your natural beauty and shine it forth for all to see. History Established in 1950. Slate Salon was built by Armand O'Barton and his father 50 Years ago. Then it was a Barber Shop. When Armand retired, he sold it and the name was changed to Lamprey Waves. After 5 years of ownership, Kathryn purchased the salon in 2010 and changed it's name to Lamprey Waves Hair Salon. Kathryn is the best! Such a warm and loving person. I love the move I made to the Lakes Region, but miss the excellent job Kathryn did with my hair. Today I am trying my third salon as I have not been happy with extreme costs I have been charged. Maybe I should take the hour drive back to Slate Salon. I would still save money and could visit with my good friend! XXXOOO
Stopped in for my first time ever just passing by because I had a few minutes to myself! Great place so cute and warm ! Loved my hair and made a friend. I felt so at home Love this place ! Owner made me feel like I've known her forever ! Found a new stylist! So happy!! First class all the way!!!
I got my prom hair done here and all I had to do was show a picture of what I wanted and it came out almost exactly like the photo. Thank you so much! It was beautiful.
As a mom of 4, and small business owner, finding time for myself is not always easy. However, I am SO GLAD that I was able to book an appointment with Clarissa for a facial! It was so relaxing I found myself dozing off. After a wonderful treatment, Clarissa applied my makeup for a business engagement that I was attending. I walked out feeling relaxed, and feeling beautiful. Thank you so much for once again going above and beyond all my expectations. I will be booking again VERY soon!
