I have been a SLACer since April of 2003! Great place to work!! And the scenery is gorgeous as well! Jasper Ridge and the other areas are a site to behold!
When I was in high school I wanted to be an astrophysicist or an engineer. But now that I'm a union electrician working out of San Mateo local 617 I find it to be very cool working here even as a Tradesman. I also always wanted to go to Stanford University but never made it. Who knows maybe I can get on permanent with the slac maintenance crew as an electrician. Either way I find it really exciting and I like the bragging rights.
