Received an itemized list of damages and a bill over a month after moving out. Nebraska law requires that the security deposit or an itemized list of damages is returned within 14 days. It’s ILLEGAL to withhold anything from the security deposit after 14 days. As for the supposed damages… the apartment manager tried to say our apartment smelled like cat pee (funny that it didn’t smell like cat pee during the move out walk through… seems like something that would have been mentioned 🤔) and tried to state that stains of varyi... read more
