I attended sky's NYE bash and had a great time! The food was great, my favorite being the risotto, beef Wellington and poutine for the midnight snack! Although lines were long at times, the addition of the wine and beer bar from last year helped tremendously. In addition, opening up and additional floor from last year was an added bonus. Great space for a small or large event. Amazing food.
Perplexed! wanted to love the event, so many good things but so many fell short. the garage is scary. The amount of work done to the inside and nothing to the outside. Food was ok, but not good. Lines were so long, I was so hungry I left to get pizza to return to my friends just getting their drinks from the bar. both floors were equally busy, yet two different parties. Food was horrible lines were long and we all seem to concur Was not worth the money. Management and staff that actually working that night did a poor job making this event all the hype it was set up to be, kudos to the sales team for the BS we all bought.
Sky might want to consider getting their old chef back! even though he had an uncharming personality, his culinary skills were top notch. The food was uncomparable. If you have been to Sky before you didn't need to read the newspaper to know that there was a new chef. Sky may want to slow down on their plans to open a restaurant and put some though into getting help for the events they have. This was no Bash, but a bust
