RecommendedI have gone to Skander almost exclusively since I was a teen (minus the years I didn’t live here). Today was very stressful with a near flat tire on my way to a meeting so I stopped in to see if they could help. I did not get the gentleman’s name who did the repair but he was great. He even gave me a “souvenir” - the metal shard that caused the issue (thanks PennDot Perrysville Hwy roadwork!) I was relieved not to be told I needed to buy a new tire. I was in and out in a flash. I always appreciate their honesty and speed.
My husband goes to get tires done. They charged him 165.36 to do four tires .tell me it’s cause he didn’t buy them there .my nephew went there last Saturday and got four oversized tires done.that he didn’t buy there and they only charged him 65 dollars .my daughter called and asked about getting four done just as my husband did today and they told her 50 and some change .so I just don’t understand why he was charged so much . Never again

Kimmy, we explained the fees to your husband and he agreed to pay that amount before we began the work. We do charge a premium rate if people choose to buy tires from our competition and want us to do the dirty work.
Easiest, most professional service I’ve had in years. They asked all the right questions and had me in and out within 20 minutes. Also, the cat and I are great friends now.

On many occasions Skander has helped me out with tire issues/nails/leaks etc. Recently I sent my almost 90 yr. old Father to Skander after he felt he was being taken advantage of elsewhere. He was so happy with the experience. He was treated with respect and they ordered him tires at a reasonable price. Thank you.

I’ve been going to Skander my whole life same with my the rest of my family but they’ve all stopped buying there now because the tire man with the conscience has no conscience anymore. A few months ago I purchased a new set of tires for a deal of an individual I know because he bought the wrong size, since I’ve known Randy forever I went there to get them mounted, well his kid charged me $40/wheel and told me he had to raise the price cause ppl are buying online. Yes sir, you are correct. If you bring brand new tires that you bought elsewhere, we charge a premium rate to install them. Our main profit source is selling tires, as we are a tire dealer. When people choose to purchase tires online and have us do the dirty work, we make less money, and therefore, we are less willing to do the work. my family's been buying from Skander since we moved to Evans City in 1975, I've moved all over Western PA. and still make the commute .
