I have always loved the Skagit Valley Food Co-op. It is a great place to get those foods and vitamins that you need. Lunch is always a fun time here and a place to people watch. Their upstairs gift shop is really interesting and different from any other place in town.

We have always loved shopping at this coop. Health quality food and friendly service, and then there is always the support of local farmers. Unfortunately lately we have noticed some changes to the staff, like the friendliness not there. There seems to be an air of unhappiness. Additionally we have to say the navel oranges I purchased were terrible, potatoes even though we kept them in a cold environment the went soft and sprouted in a very short time. My husband ordered the "Barnyard Chicken." Not good and didn/t even look good, too black. He couldn't finish it. Took it home and make chicken noodle soup out of the chicken breast. We both got sick and had to throw the rest out. Never again.

Despite the sometimes grumpy barista and occasional lack of Asian cooking staples (cooking sake), this place is a highlight of our Mt Vernon visits!

Best Kielbasa in the PacNW! Kielbasa was a staple of my childhood on the west side of Grand Rapids MI. I've lived in Washington State for 30 years and have never been able to find anything close to real Kielbasa until my wife brought some of home from Skagit Valley Food Co-op! I'll be making regular trips up from Everett for it!
