I had a legally valid temporary drivers license but they did not tell me they would not accept it until I was already at the rental counter. They also refused to add anyone else in my party as the primary driver. Instead, they said they would cancel the reservation and that we could make a new reservation at a much higher rate (2x) if we wanted. We declined. After my trip, it turns out that despite canceling my reservation, they still charged me full price for the rental. What an absolute rip off.
SIXT is always my top choice for rental cars. Rented a brand new Mercedes SUV for the week and the vehicle was in great shape. Just make sure to double check your final receipt, as they mistakenly added a $100 cleaning fee, but a quick phone call to customer service sorted it out right away.
Lian was the best, he helped us with the whole process, he is so kind and humble. We had a great experience with the car and the company. I’ll recommend to everyone rent a car with SIXT.
